Where can I buy cards?
| |
The answer is dependent on how the card is going to be used. If the cards are for application development then test cards are required. Infineon/Keycorp test cards are available from MAOSCO: customer.services@multos.com+44 171 557 5420 Or, from Keycorp: multossupport@keycorp.net Test cards come in strong or weak cryptography versions. The strong crypto version will require that the customer provide export controls information which needs to be approved by the UK Government. This can involve delays of up to 2 months. Weak cryptography cards can be shipped without export controls. They are termed weak because, when applications make a cryptographic request on MULTOS, fixed keys are used instead of any keys that the application might desire. The disadvantage of weak cryptography cards is that testing of the card will need to account for the card inserting fixed keys and not the keys that might be passed by the test. If the cards are for a small pilot, test cards can be used, however live cards are preferred as they will enable the full personalisation process to be excercised. If the cards are for a large pilot, then live cards should be used. Live cards require that a card issuer be registered, a necessary process, if you wish to run, for example, the Mondex purse. Other applications might also require live cards. If the cards are for any other uses (not application development or a pilot), then the cards should be live cards. The card issuer should contact MAOSCO (+44 171 557 5420) about arrangements for registration. Alternatively, Keycorp can register on your behalf for pilot programs.
